Názov prednášky: Spatial analysis approaches to slope stability
Anotácia prednášky: Slopes assessed for the study are from a number of infrastructurally sensitive sites such as main road cuttings and embankments, railway sites and coastal landslides. The potential for slope stability and subsequent failure are assessed using various geospatial datasets such as maps, airborne LiDAR, TELLUS Data, GSNI geology datasets and aerial photoimagery, forming a preliminary risk assessment. Detailed risk assessment of slopes using terrestrial LiDAR scanning based on a time series analysis was carried out for specific sites along the north coast of Northern Ireland. The slopes were surveyed to assess if there is any movement or slumping of the slope and GIS used as the interpolation package for assessment. The research aim was to improve temporal spatial analysis approaches for the integration of datasets for assessment of slope stability.
